Happy to have YOU here at my website, checking out my photography work. I am a deaf artist who thrives on creativity (no, really, I firmly believe if I didn’t create, I’d stop breathing).

Growing up in the small town of St. Amant, Louisiana, on a family compound, I was fortunate to be so close to my family and made many memories with my cousins. My mother documented much of it, and I’m always grateful for having those moments to look back on! I picked up her camera when I was 12 (FILM! DO YOU REMEMBER SUCH A THING?) and it’s been non-stop since then. After earning my Bachelor’s in 2D Art at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, I’ve been my own boss! While it’s not easy running my own business, all the opportunities I’ve had shooting all types of memories make it all worth it.

After living in Baton Rouge, DC, and NYC (twice!), I am now in Austin, Texas, with my partner for life, Sarah. Even though we no longer have our own space in Louisiana, I am there almost monthly for my amazing client base and, of course, for our family visits (we have two new nephews!). I basically still feel like a “local” there! In addition to providing my services there and here, I travel very often around the world, thanks to my clients from all walks of life!

I love taking photos, but more than anything else, I love creativity. I love being around art, whether or not I make it. I paint, I draw, I create t-shirts, I make collages, I read, I study spiritual stuff, I dance, I watch films of all kinds, I support my fellow artists, and I remind myself constantly to never take my privilege and fortune for granted. I have worked hard for my success, but I will never assume it’s always for me to have. Every day is a new day to learn something new.
